Bodies of 2 students drowned in Channambar river recovered
Puducherry, Feb 18(UNI) Police today recovered bodies of the two students drowned in the Channambaar river here yesterday evening.
Police said David Singh, hailing from Manipur and studying in Loyola College, Chennai, along with Ravichandran Kuman also from Manipur and a student of the Pondicherry Engineering College, with their friends went for a bath in the river.
All of them, however, entered deep in the river and were struggling for their lives, when the fishermen nearby rescued some of them. However, David Singh and Ravichandran Kuman, could not be traced and the search last night proved futile.
Police resumed their search today and found the body of David Singh which was removed to the GH for post-mortem. Efforts were on to trace the body of Ravichandran Kuman, police added.
