Suvarna Keralam award to be presented to Dr Cherian on Feb 18

Kottayam, Feb 14 (UNI) The Suvarna Keralam Puraskaram instituted by the M G University for the best thesis in Malayalam language would be presented to Dr Babu Cherian, a Malayalam teacher in the C M S College on February 18.

The award was instituted as part of the Golden Jubilee of the formation of Kerala.

Dr Sukumar Azhikode would present the award consisting of a cash prize of Rs. 10,001/- and citation at a function to be held at the University Assembly hall, a university release said here.

Dr Cherian's thesis ''Benjamin Bailey's contributions to the Malayalam language and literature'' secured him the award.
