Tripura Congress releases election manifesto
Agartala, Feb 13 (UNI) The Congress today promised to extend the age of retirement of government employees from 58 to 60 years in Tripura if voted to power.
Releasing the 32-page manifesto for the February 23 state assembly elections, the party also promised to implement recommendations of sixth pay commission for state government employees and special bonanza for pensioners and unemployed youths.
While the first part of the manifesto reviews the shortcomings of the Left Front regime of 15 years in Tripura, the second part consists of promises what the Congress-INPT-PDS combine would do if voted to power.
Veteran Congress leader and Union Minister Pranab Mukherjee released the manifesto this evening and said, the Congress would also focus on better road connectivity, rural electrification and supply of drinking water .
