ULFA militant held in Guwahati with explosives
Guwahati, Feb 12 (UNI) An ULFA militant, suspected to be planning blasts in the Assam capital city, was arrested from Panbazar area of the city today.
Additional Superintendent of Police Debojit Deuri informed that the militant, identified as Champak Sharma, was a member of '709 battalion' of the outfit, active in lower Assam region. He hailed from Kamalpur.
He was arrested and is being interrogated.
One M 920 pistol and explosives, suspected to be RDX, were recovered from him.
