Law students must brace up for globalisation: HC CJ
Mumbai, Feb 12 (UNI) Bombay High Court Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar today said law students and even the universities must brace up for globalisation.
Addressing the 151st convocation ceremony of Mumbai University, Swatanter Kumar said globalisation will have a positive impact on university education.
''Our law graduates have every opportunity to practice in a globalised world. They should be trained to develop techniques for negotiating with much more complex legal system,'' the Chief Justice observed.
He suggested that the universities should take up legal training programmes to help law students gain experience.
''Universities may think of offering dual degree programme by making necessary collaboration with international universities.
Encouraging students to interact with foreign law schools would definitely enrich domestic legal profession,'' he added.
