Goa CM meets Sonia, discusses political situation
New Delhi, Feb 12 (UNI) Beleaguered Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and discussed ways to end the political crisis in the State.
''Mr Kamat and some of his cabinet colleagues, along with AICC general secretary incharge of Goa B Hariprasad, met Mrs Gandhi and discussed the latest political situation (in the State),'' sources said.
Mr Kamat is faced with the onerous task of reshuffling his cabinet to give place to one of its alliance partner, the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak party.
The CM is in the capital to seek more funds for development works that have suffered during the political crisis the State has been facing for the past few months.
