Sundaram Finance BPO arm forays into Madurai
Madurai, Feb 11 (UNI) The Chennai-based Sundaram Business Services Limited, the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) arm of Sundaram Finance Limited, opened its first BPO facility in the city, today.
As part of its expansion plans, Sundaram Business Services Limited was foraying into Madurai with 100 employees, providing policy administration services for life insurance customers, Company Managing Director T T Srinivasaraghavan told newspersons here. The employees' strength would be scaled up to 500 by March 2009.
Stating that the BPO industry was rapidly growing in India, he said the company had won new outsourcing deals in India as well as in Australia. The company had achieved a turnover of Rs 17 crore last year and this fiscal, it was expected to touch Rs 30 crore.
The company's offerings include accounting services, credit processing, deposit processing, employee administration and insurance related processing services.
Sundaram BPO currently had an overall employee strength of 2,000, with BPO facilities in Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Madurai.
