No reason for Maya to withdraw BSP support to UPA: Cong
New Delhi, Feb 11 (UNI) The Congress today described as ''completely false'' the reason cited by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for issuing the threat of withdrawing BSP's support to the UPA government at the Centre.
Ms Mayawati had threatened to withdraw her party's support, alleging that the Centre was planning to revive the Taj corridor scam case against her. The CBI could not proceed against her as the state Governor had refused sanction to prosecute her.
''The supposed basis for withdrawing support is completely false,'' he said.
Asked about Ms Mayawati's fear, AICC spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters that if any one thought that the Congress would provoke her ''then there is another guess coming.'' UNI SN VD PM1836
