Govt to focus on road, women literacy in new fiscal: Koda
Ranchi, Feb 9 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said road connectivity, women literacy and health would get top priority in the new fiscal with the grant of the annual plan allocation of Rs 8,015 crore.
Addressing a press conference here on his return from New Delhi, Mr Koda said since this year's annual plan allocation was 20 per cent higher than that of last year's, he had been advised by the Planning Commission to focus on health and horticulture.
The Chief Minister said food processing center would be established to give boost to the agricultural sector.
Regarding electricity, he said, the government would try to generate more power and ensure its smooth transmission.
On education, the Chief Minister said the government was dedicated to the cause of women literacy and hoped the plan adopted in this regard would reduce the rate of drop outs to the minimum.
