Parimala and Co Movie Review: What's Good, What's Bad In Jayaram's Film?

Malayalam actor Jayaram's new Tamil movie Parimala and Co has garnered positive reviews from the special premiere show which was organized by the makers on Thursday evening. This is likely to give a boost to its business ahead of its theatrical release on Friday.

Apart from Jayaram, the Tamil film has Urvasi, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Sandy, Santosh Sobhan, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Ananthika Sanilkumar and others in the cast. Written and directed by Pandiraaj, the movie has Foxn's music, George C. Williams' cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav's editing, Kalai Kingson's stunt choreography, and Pradeep E Ragav's art direction.

Last but not the least, Sandy Master and Baba Bhaskar have done dance choreography.

Siddarth Srinivas: #ParimalaAndCo - A neat dramedy from Pandiraaj who takes up a simple plot of a revenge based murder which later adds up many layers. The film begins as a comic entertainer centered on a family, but then slowly converts itself into a murder mystery with many reveals.

Jayaram, Urvashi, Sanjana and Ananthika have all done well in their roles but it is Mysskin who holds it together and delivers. The film has some laugh out loud moments peppered in both the halves.

After Thalaivan Thalaivii, Pandiraaj has taken a detour from his usual films and has tried something different.

Studio Flicks: #ParimalaAndCo Review - Started off well with some humorous moments laced with murder mystery.. While the first half was enjoyable and entertaining, second half slightly had low moments. Performances of #Jayaram and Urvashi are big plus.. However, the final twist wasn't a big surprise. Maybe it could be a passable watch on OTT platform.

Haricharan Pudipeddi: #ParimalaAndCo - A social drama that disguises itself as a dark comedy thriller for most part. The film remains largely engaging as a comedy thriller but when it shifts gears to focus on the drama, it misses a beat or two. The lead cast and their histrionics keeps the film afloat. Scenes between Jayaram and Urvashi work so effectively to keep the overall mood very lighthearted, while Mysskin gets a character that packs a nice surprise in the end.
