852 cases settled in the Lok Adalats today
Chandigarh, Feb 9 (UNI) As many as 852 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 42.91 lakh was awarded as compensation in the Lok Adalats which were held today at Bhiwani, Meham, Narnaul, Mohindergarh and Jagadhri besides Rural Lok Adalats were also held at village Mandothi in district Jhajjar, village Bandrana and village Aroli in district Kaithal.
Giving this information here today the Member Secretary, Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) disclosed that Rural Lok Adalats would be held at village Chiriya in district Bhiwani, village Dhauj in district Faridabad, village Singar in district Gurgaon, village Khuda Kalan in district Ambala and village Alwalpur in district Faridabad tomorrow.
While referring the cases disposed of in these Lok Adalats held today the Member Secretary said that 33 MACT cases pertaining to death and injury arising out of vehicular accidents were also solved in the Lok Adalats.
Besides, 819 cases were pertaining to other categories that includes civil and petty criminal, revenue and bank loan cases pending and at pre-litigative stage were also settled, he said.
