Gang of LPG cylinder suppliers busted in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) The Delhi Police today busted a gang of LPG cylinder suppliers who were involved in pilferage and arrested five people in this connection.

The North District Police arrested Ram Bhadur, Mohar Singh, Dharam Veer, Dinesh Kumar and Sri Prakash following complaints of pilferage of domestic gas cylinders, thus cheating customers and causing threat to public safety.

Two commercial LPG cylinders (each weighing 11 kg), 20 LPG cylinders (each weighing less than prescribed limit), 12 empty cylinders, 70 filled gas cylinders, two gas refilling iron pipes, one weighing machine, four delivery vans, rubber washers and seal caps were seized from their possession.

During interrogation, the five revealed that they used to sell these cylinders to the needy customers at a higher price and the illegal trade had been going on for the past 8 months.
