Minority community girl raped, burnt in MP

Damoh, MP, Feb 4 (UNI) A 14-year-old girl belonging to a minority community was raped, doused with kerosene and set alight at a farm in this district's Bhatiya village this evening for resisting eve-teasing.

The severely-burnt victim was admitted to the district hospital.

''Police teams have fanned out to arrest the accused Kallu Lodhi (22) who habitually teased the victim. Bhatiya is 55 km from here,'' said Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Ranjan Tiwari. The girl's family earlier intervened against the eve-teasing.
