Indian jewellery, garments impress Australian businesswomen

New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) Indian garments and jewellery impressed the visiting Australian women entrepreneurs so much that during their meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit here today they expressed eagerness to export both the items.

A 16-member delegation of Australian women business leaders met Ms Dikshit at her Delhi Secretariat office here.

The women entrepreneurs expressed the hope for better cooperation between Australia and Delhi in the business sector.

Ms Dikshit assured them all possible help and also called for improved business cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation told the Chief Minister that their visit was aimed at improving cooperation with India in the business sector and identifying the areas to improve the relations between the two countries.

They also met industrialists and identified different sectors for business between both countries and were very much impressed by the Indian garments and jewellery.

Ms Dikshit appreciated women entrepreneurs for their marvelous works in the business sector in Australia. The Chief Minister apprised them of the administrative set up, public transport system, water, power and other development works being carried out by the Delhi government.
