Nirupam holds meetings with top industrialists in Mumbai
Kolkata, Jan 31 (UNI) West Bengal Industries Minister Nirupam Sen held a series of meetings with top idustrialists over the past two days in Mumbai to explore investment opportunities in West Bengal.
The Minister's meeting with Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata in Mumbai on January 30 was on the progress of the small car plant project in Singur.
Both Mr Sen and state Industries Secretary Sabyasachi Sen attended a CII industrialist's interaction in Mumbai today to explore avenues of investment in West Bengal.
Meetings were held with Reliance Group's Mukesh Ambani and Ashok Hinduja of Hinduja Group, yesterday regarding investment opportunities in West Bengal in the Petrochemical sector.
Progress of gas pipeline from the Krishna Godavari Basin for bringing in natural gas was also discussed with the Reliance Group Chairman.
Yesterday, the Minister visited the Jamnagar Reliance chemical facility.
Possibility of Ashok Leyland's investment in the emerging auto sector in the state was also explored during the meeting with the Hinduja Group.
