Disney Channel premieres original animated series Phineas

Mumbai, Jan 31 (UNI) Disney Channel will premiere its original animated series 'Phineas and Ferb,' an imaginative comedy from animation producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh tomorrow.

Produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and Disney Channel, ''Phineas and Ferb'' will feature throughout the month of February with a special Leap Year marathon on February 29.

Speaking to reporters here, Director Programming and Production Walt Disney Television International (India), Aparna Bhosle said,''The series reflects Disney Channel themes of 'follow your dreams', 'believe in yourself' and 'celebrate your family'. A combination of well-told stories of relationships and great action, this series is designed to appeal to both boys and girls across all markets.'' The 2D animated comedy tells the story of step-brothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher who set out to conquer boredom and make every day of their 104-day summer vacation count but their older sister Candace gets frantic at her brother's extraordinary adventures, and makes it her life's work to tattle on them to Mom and Dad.
