Delimitation: Jogi urges Raman to write to PM

Raipur, Jan 31 (UNI) Amid an exercise to keep Chhattisgarh out of delimitation's ambit just like Jharkhand, Congress Working Committee Member and MP Ajit Jogi today urged Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh to write to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for stopping delimitation.

''Dr Raman Singh had earlier assured me over telephone that he would write to the premier to stop delimitation if the need arose,'' the ex-chief minister told reporters here.

When it was mentioned that Dr Raman Singh wrote a related letter in 2005, Mr Jogi pointed out that the Delimitation Commission's report had not been submitted at that time.
