CISF adjudged best marching contingent at R-Day parade
New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was declared the best marching contingent at the 59th Republic Day parade on January 26.
This was the second consecutive year that the CISF marching contingent was adjudged the best among the para-military forces and other auxiliary marching contingents.
The CISF contingent comprised one assistant commandant (Omkar Nath Thakur), three sub-officers and 144 other ranks.
The CISF also bagged maximum number of gallantry medals awarded to any central para-military forces this year.
