Karnataka Govt to distribute Four lakh bicycles to girl students

Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) Karnataka Government will distribute Four lakh Bycicles worth over Rs 90 Crore to girl students studying upto VIII standard this year as a new year gift, Governor Rameshwar Thakur said today.

Speaking after distributing 140 bycicles to the students symbolically at a function organised at Rajbhavan here today he said that both students studying in Government and aided schools will get the benefit.

He also informed that the scheme will be extended to boy students and also students studying in schools run by Urban local body authorities.
