Goa Govenor pays rich tributes to martyrs

Panaji, Jan 30 (UNI) Goa Governor S C Jamir today paid rich tributes to Martyrs on the occasion of the Martyrs day at a function held at Azad Maidan here.

Mr Jamir placed a wreath at the Martyrs Memorial and paid homage to them who sacrificed their lives for cause of the state.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, Assembly Speaker Pratapsinh Rane, state NCP president Dr Wilfred D'souza, chief secretary J P Singh, Director General of Police B S Brar, Goa Freedom Fighters Association president Jayendra Chodankar, Mayor Tony Rodrigues, freedom fighters and prominent citizens also paid homage and offered floral tributes to the Memorial.
