Congress demands to include police firing issue in all party meet
Patna, Jan 27 (UNI) The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) today demanded the state government to include Kahalgaon police firing in the all party meeting, convened on January 29 to discuss the ongoing electricity crisis.
BPCC Chief Spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra here said the government should clarify the orders given for the police firing in Kahalgaon on January 18 before the all party meet adding it was the responsibility of the state government to reveal the order in view of the denial of the suspended SDO about the firing order.
He also suggested the government to exclude the public distribution system (PDS) from the agenda and to include the issue of the police firing and its outcome in the list of the issues to be discussed in the all party meet.
The PDS could be discussed in the all party meetings later on, he said.
Mr Mishra alleged that neither Chief Minister nor any member of his cabinet or the BJP MP from Bhagalpur Shahnawaz Hussain visited Kahalgaon so far, which is apathetic.
