Cold wave likely to intensify in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Jan 27 (UNI) Northern and western parts of Rajasthan continue to reel under intense cold wave conditions with no respite in sight as the weather department forecast formation of ground frost in these areas in the next 24 hours.

The Met Department warns that the average night temperature's likely to fall by four Degrees Celsius in the state in the next 48 hours.

According to the Met department, Pilani in Shekawati region has recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 0.1, while Ganganagar and Churu followed with 0.2 and 0.3 degrees respectively.

Bikaner recorded a minimum temperature of 1.2, Jaisalmer 2.3, Barmer 5.5, Dabok 6, Jaipur and Jodhpur 6.4, kota 8.1, and Ajmer 8.3 degrees in the last twenty four hours.

Mount Abu, the only hill station in western India, is in the grip of a intense cold wave with normal life badly hit by the freezing cold which left a white blanket cover over the hill station in the morning.
