Coast Guard rescue fishermen from Calangute beach
Panaji, Jan 24 (UNI) The Coast Guard Marine Rescue Centre personnel rescued eight fishermen on board the fishing vessel 'Sitara' from Calangute beach, North Goa.
The boat was drifting off the Calangute beach due to engine failure for the last four days.
The Coast Guard rescued the ship C-133 under the command of Lt.
R K Singh, yesterday swung into action and succeeded in towing the fishing vessel to Vasco fishing jetty safely.
The boat and the crew members were handed to the owner, an official release stated.
