Police seizes two truck load of chickens

Birbhum, Jan 22 (UNI) Police today seized two trucks, transporting chickens from the bird flu-affected area of Nalhati in Birbhum district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Lakshmi Narayan Meena said the chickens were handed over to the culling teams. However, the truck drivers managed to flee.

Constant vigil was being maintained throughout the district to prevent the transportation of birds to other areas, the SP added.
