Kannur, Jan 22 (UNI) Police burst three tear gas shells to disperse the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) workers, as the dawn-to-dusk hartal called by the party turned violent at Taliparamba in Kerala, today.
Two persons were injured as the agitating workers pelted stones at a Kannur-bound Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus police said.
The hartal was called by the IUML in the Taliparamaba municipal area, protesting against the attack on shops run by its party supporters, allegedly by the CPI(M) activists, last night.
