UP govt sanctions power projects worth Rs 460 cr
Lucknow, Jan 21 (UNI) Sanctioning Rs 460 crore to 61 power projects, Uttar Pradesh government today directed Power Corporation Managing Director to camp in Bundelkhand region and ensure benefits of several development schemes to people.
''The pace of development works should be visible to people...there is a need to provide benefits to people through several schemes by maintaning transparency and implimentation with a stipulated time period,'' UP Chief Secretary P K Mishra said here.
Mr Mishra was presiding over a meeting of energy task force in the city.
He said that sub-stations should be set up within every 19 kms for ensuring power supply in accordance with the requirements.
The chief secretary directed stringent action be taken to check power pilferage.
