Andamans bans import of poultry from West Bengal

Port Blair, Jan 20 (UNI) In view of the outbreak of Avian Influenza in various districts of West Bengal, the Andaman and Nicobar administration has imposed a total ban on the import of poultry and poultry products from Kolkata to these islands.

In an official order the local administration imposed the ban and restricted import by all Airlines and ships or by any other means of transport with immediate effect till further orders to check the entry of the flu into the remote Indian Islands.
