Social engineering will be successful in MP: BSP

Bhopal, Jan 19 (UNI) Following the success of social engineering formula in Uttar Pradesh, the BSP has organised 'Brahmin Sammelan (a convention of Brahmins)' in the state capital tomorrow.

BSP leader Kamal Pandey, who is incharge of convention, told reporters here today that Uttar Pradesh Minister Rangnath Mishra would be chief guest on the occasion. Madhya Pradesh BSP President Bhujbul Singh Ahirwar and priests of several prominent religious places would be present.

He said conventions were being organised regularly to bring all sections including upper caste together. This was producing positive results and the party's base was expanding.

The party had organised a regional convention earlier in which several members of this community took part. The Bramhin Sammelan would bring at least 1,000 members from this community to BSP fold.

Dr Pandey said the BSP would contest from all 230 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. So far, there was no talk about electoral alliance and a decision in this regard would be taken by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.
