Kirloskar Pneumatic to start RoadRailer services

New Delhi, Jan 19 (UNI) Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Ltd today said its board has approved the formation of a new company to carry out its RoadRailer manufacturing activity from its land at Nasik.

The new company floated will offer RoadRailer services using Indian Railway network, said a statement.

The RoadRailer is a bi-modal transport system which carries goods from one destination to other by road as well as rail using the same vehicle.

The service initially will be between Delhi and Chennai and the company has obtained necessary technology from a US-based Company for manufacturing RoadRailer.

Indian Railways and the Kirloskar have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) narrating modalities for commencing operations of the RoadRailer on Delhi Chennai corridor.
