One of Delhi Police's most wanted carrying Rs 50k reward arrested
New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) In a major success for the Delhi Police in new year, Crime Branch's Special Operation Squad arrested one of its most wanted criminal carrying a Rs 80,000 reward on his head.
Vijay Dahiya alias Bodha, on the run ever since escaping from judicial custody in 2006, was a terror in Delhi and its adjoining states and had 25 cases of murder, robbery, extortion and Arms Act against him, said Additional Commissioner (Crime) Sayendra Garg.
''While the Delhi Police had announced Rs 50,000 reward on his head, the Haryana Police had declared a Rs 30,000 prize on him.'' He was arrested yesterday in Jaipur by the SOS team put on his suveillance. A .32mm pistol of US make, was recovered from his possession, he added.
