Haryana launches soft skills scheme in Haryana
Chandigarh, Jan 18 (UNI) The Haryana government has launched a soft skills scheme in 17 Government Colleges and a sum of Rs 95.80 lakh has been earmarked under the scheme in the plan budget to impart training to them.
Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta said that initially this scheme was started in six government colleges under which Rs 4000 per student would be spent for imparting four-and-a-half month training.
Mr Gupta said the government would provide a sum of Rs 3000 per student as subsidy while the student would have to pay a sum of Rs 1000 per curriculum.
He said the State Government had also decided to provide soft skill DVD's training of 128 hours through Edusat Network and a sum of Rs 10 lakh had been earmarked under the scheme.
The Minister said that the State Government had opened new government collges in Haryana which included Kaithal, Mandi Dabwali, Biroher in district Jhajjar, Jullana in district Jind, Government Women Colleges in Panchkula and Tosham where a higher education extension policy would be implemented.
Similarly, a Women Wing had also been started in Government College, Sirsa.
