One dead and two injured in house collapse in Kashmir
Srinagar Jan 17 (UNI) One person was killed and two others were injured when a house collapsed, reportedly due to heavy rains and snow in south Kashmir.
Official sources said a double-storie house of one Abdul Gani Ganie at Koil collapsed when the family members were sitting inside.
They said police teams were rushed to the spot to rescue the persons buried under the debris of the house.
Police rescued three persons--Gullah Ganie, Farooq Ahmad and Rabish Ahmad Ganie-- in an injured condition The injured were admitted to hospital where Gullah Ganie died, they said adding teams from 73 batallion Border Security Force (BSF) and Fire service personnel also joined the rescue operation.
A number of domestic animals were also rescued, they said.
