Three of family killed in accident

Belgaum, Jan 15 (UNI) Three persons, including two children, of a family were killed on the spot and two others injured when a speeding lorry hit their motorbike on NH-4 near Bagewadi, near here today.

A five-member family, that included husband, wife and three small children, were returning to Bagewadi after visiting nearby Badekolla Mut, a religious place, on their motorcycle after offering puja on the occasion of 'Makara Sankranti' when the accident occurred, police said.

The deceased were identified as Nagendragouda M Patil (40), Sanket (3) and Soukhya (6).

The injured Shreyanka Patil and Shrishail Patil were admitted to Civil Hospital Belgaum.
