Gangster involved in night burglaries in North Delhi arrested
New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested a member of a gang of robbers involved in several incidents of night burglaries in Delhi and recovered from him 78 costly stolen mobile phones, worth Rs 15 lakh.
Thirty-two-year-old Abdul Kalam was arrested yesterday afternoon from Mauric Nagar near the Delhi University. On search, 78 stolen mobile phones of various companies and models were recovered from his bag.
Interrogation of the accused revealed that he, along with his uncle Jameel and his associates, all residents of Bihar, used to commit burglaries in South Delhi and then disposed of the stolen articles in busy markets like Lajpat Rai market and Gaffar market.
