Woman gets lifer for killing neighbour

Ashoknagar(MP), Jan 11 (UNI) A local court has sentenced life imprisonment to a woman for burning to death her neighbour on the suspicion of theft of only Rs 15.

Additional Sessions Judge Shriram Dinkar convicted Komalbai(58) on Wednesday. She was charged with dousing her neighbour Manabai with kerosene and setting her ablaze. Manabai later succumbed to her burns. A day earlier on June 2, 2007, Komalbai clashed with Manabai charging the latter with stealing Rs 15 at village Barodiya village of this district, prosecution said.
