Work on Rajpura thermal plant to begin after April

Patiala, Jan 10 (UNI) The construction work for 1500 MW thermal plant to be setup near Rajpura will start in next financial year.

The Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Dharamjit Singh Grewal today said in a press conference here that the acquisition work of 1500 acre land has begun and will be completed in next couple of months.

He said the acquisition process had been started in 5-6 villages including Rangia and Nalas Villages.

Besides, the construction work of Rajiv Gandhi Law University will begin in Village Sidhuwal near here.
