Mumbai, Jan 10 (UNI) Construction and engineering major Larsen&Toubro (L&T) has bagged a Rs 2,000 crore order from Kingston Properties for constructing offices and residential buildings in Mumbai.

L&T's construction division will develop this project in a span of four years.

The company has also won orders worth about Rs 1600 crore in various cities including Kolkata, Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The company has secured a Rs 665 crore design-and-build contract from Cognizant Technology for developing its centres in Chennai and Kolkata.

Among the other orders bagged by L&T is a Rs 408 crore contract from ICICI Bank for construction of their office building at Hyderabad, which involves construction of 4 million sq ft building area, having basement plus 16 floors, a company press release said here today.

It has bagged a Rs 187 crore turnkey order from ITC Hotels Limited for their Grand Chola Hotel at Chennai, which involves construction of 1.52 million sq ft area to house 600 rooms.

Under a Rs 300 crore project in Chandigarh, the company will develop malls, offices and hotels for CSJ Infrastructure. In the last nine months, the company has so far bagged contracts worth nearly Rs 12000 crore including Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), the company added.
