65 minor drivers fined in capital
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) Continuing its drive against under-age drivers in the capital, police today fined 65 minors in the city.
Of the 65 minors challaned, 64 were driving two wheelers while one was driving a car.
On the third day of its special drive against school children and minors driving vehicles, the police also impounded 39 vehicles.
The initiative which follows a drive by the police against jaywalkers last month, is part of efforts by the police to streamline traffic in the city.
The traffic police has already written to school principals drawing their attention to the menace of minor driving and requested them to sensitise students about it.
