Tourism Secretary I M Vittalmurthy told mediapersons here yesterday that this year's convention was being held in the backdrop of a wide range of initiatives launched particularly to develop infrastructure facilities around heritage destinations.
''At the convention, industry leaders from hospitality, tourism and healthcare alongwith government decision makers will formulate the agenda for the coming five years,'' he said.
This year's theme 'Poised to Soar' is very objective oriented and will focus on the key issues facing the industry, he said.
A master plan, being prepared for the development of infrastructure facilities, would be announced by the end of this month, he added.
