Ban on sale, purchase of combat dresses in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has put an immediate ban on the sale and purchase of combat dress in the north Kashmir district of Baramulla with immediate effect, an official spokesman has said.
He said the ban will remain in force for 60 days.
He said District Magistrate, Baramulla has issued ban orders on sale, purchase, stitching and storage of readymade dresses of army pattern through the territorial jurisdiction of district.
Accordingly the Additional District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police (SPs), Sub District Magistrates, Additional SPs, Executive Magistrates and Station House Officer's have been directed to ensure that no person is allowed to sell or purchase combat dress cloth or ply painted vehicles with army pattern.
Official sources said militants were wearing Army and police uniforms to carry out fidayeen attacks on camps and other vital installations in the valley.
