Sterlite secures Rs 140 cr contract
New Delhi, Jan 8: Power and telecom solution provider Sterlite Technologies Ltd today said it has bagged a contract worth Rs 140 crore for manufacture and supply of transmission conductors.
The Maharashtra-based company will start supplying the products from next month to Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RVPL) and will excute the whole contract by November this year, company said in a statement. Sterlite, that meets about 27 per cent of country's demand for power transmission and distribution conductors, will supply about 5,600 km conductors to be installed in 530 km route length of 400 KV (Single Circult) and 180 km route length of 'Double Circult' transmission lines in Rajasthan, it added.
