Extortionist arested for threatening businessman
New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested a person who threatened a businessman in the city and demanded Rs 20 lakh as extortion from him.
Shiv Pratap Yadav (30) was arrested from near Tilak Nagar in West Delhi yesterday night.
He was arrested on a complaint by a prominent dry fruit businessman of Delhi that the accused threatened him on phone that he would bomb his offices, shop, house, farmhouse etc unless he paid him Rs 20 lakh. He also sen at threatening letter to the businessman.
A case under relevant sections of the IPC had been filed against the accused, who was previously involved in several cases of theft and the Gangster's Act of UP.
