Computer education for visually challenged children
Chandigarh, Jan 7 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration has decided to introduce computer education for visually challenged children.
UT Home Secretary Krishna Mohan today said that as part of thrust to provide inclusive education to the students with special needs, initially, a special resource centre for the blind and low vision children would be started in Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 8.
To make these special children part and parcel of the society, the Chandigarh Administration would made all sorts of special arrangements for their development, Mr Mohan said.
He said that special software and braille embossers would be provided to these children.
Special Resource Centres for inclusive education would also be established at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 45, Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 15 and Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 38 (W), Mr Mohan said.
