Scotland Yard team visits Liaquat Bagh for Benazir's death probe
Islamabad, Jan 6 (UNI) Scotland Yard investigators visited Liaquat Bagh, the site of assassination of former Pakistan prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
The six-member team examined the place where Bhutto was killed on December 27 while leaving Liaquat Bagh in her vehicle after addressing an election rally, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The team arrived under tight security arrangements and inspected the venue of the public rally yesterday.
The investigators took pictures of the site of the stage from where Bhutto had addressed the rally, the place where the suicide attack occurred and the route of her arrival and departure from the venue.
They also studied the location where the vehicle was at the time of the attack.
The British detectives also assessed the distance between the vehicle and attackers with the help of video and pictures and made a film of the area from the top a building overlooking Liaquat Bagh.
Pakistani security authorities provided to the team a sketch of the suspected killers along with certain information.
