SAD (Amritsar) activists rounded up ahead of agitation

Sangrur, Jan 6 (UNI) Around 60 activists of the Akali Dal (Amritsar) were rounded up today by the police ahead of their 'rasta roko' agitation tomorrow in Punjab.

According to police sources the Akali Dal (Amritsar) workers were taken into preventive custody in Sangrur, Barnala and other districts of the state.

The party had given a call to prevent buses belonging to the Orbit company from operating in the state. The company is reported to be owned by SAD working president Sukhbir Singh Badal.
