Partial traffic resumes on Srinagar-Jammu national highway
Srinagar, Jan 6 (UNI) Traffic was partially resumed on the 300-km -long Srinagar-Jammu national highway this evening after it remained suspended since last evening following heavy snow fall.
Meanwhile, about a dozen roads in north Kashmir were also closed for traffic following one foot to three feet of snowfall.
A traffic police official said tonight that following improvement in the weather, stranded vehicles between Banbihal to Ramban were allowed to proceed towards Srinagar.
He said all the stranded vehicles would be cleared before allowing fresh traffic from Srinagar and Jammu, subject to road conditions.
