Intense checking drive in Gorakhpur following terror threat

Gorakhpur, Jan 6 (UNI) Security agencies here are conducting an intense checking drive, following a terrorist threat received from Hijaji, the regulator of terror outfit Harqat-ul-Jehad.

Recently, the terrorist had threatened to attack upon the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University here.

A joint team, comprising Intelligenece Bureau (IB) and Local Intelligence Unit (LIU), are conducting raids in hotels and suspicious places after reviving informations that the aides to Hijaji have taken shelter here.

Police is also carrying out the checking drive at hotels and various rented premises.
