Kidnapped Ambala businessman rescued

Kaithal, Jan 5 (UNI) After a night long combing operation carried out in fields at Rahra village last night, district police rescued an Ambala business man from his kidnappers.

The kidnappers on December 31 night had kidnapped a rice mill owner Ashok Dang from Dehar area under Naraingarh police station in Ambala disitrict while he was returning from his rice mill, SSP Anil Kumar said. They had demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore for his release .

The SSP said the Kaithal police received information from its sources that the abducted businessman had been kept at a farm at Rahra village, following which the police started search and combing operations .

During the operation the police rescued the kidnapped businessman and arrested three criminals, identified as Sikander resident of Barsola(Jind) , Randeep alias Kala of Alewa(Jind) and Jasbir, resident of Aakepur under sardana police station in Meerut disitrict of Uttar Pradesh.

The police recovered two country made pistols and Mobile phones from those arrested.

Later the police handed over the criminals and rescued businessman a to Ambala police.

The SSP said that involvement of more persons in this kidnapping could not be ruled out.
