The first- ever live web telecast of PBD-2008
New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) Nearly 35 million people of Indian origin in various countries will be able to watch the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2008 (PBD-2008) on January 8-9 through a live webcast of the annual event at www.PIOTV.com.
According to www.PIOTV.com Chairman and CEO Munish Gupta, the Overseas Indian Affairs Ministry has accepted the proposal from the portal to make available the PBD-2008 to the entire Indian diaspora live and free on the web.
Mr Gupta announced that the website will also telecast live the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) annual conference and community service awards also from New Delhi on January 6-7.
