Fake credit cards gang busted, 5 held

Lucknow, Jan 4 (UNI) The Kanpur Police have arrested five persons for defrauding several people of lakhs of rupees in the name of credit and debit cards.

Acting on a complaint, the police arrested them in the city late last night, Special Secretary (Home) Gyan Singh told reporters here.

The accused were hand-in-glove with the employees of several private banks, he said.

The police also recovered ICICI Bank's swipe machine, a large number of fake driving licenses, cheque books, fake credit and debit cards.

Investigations were underway.
